I just checked and all of my chicks have wing feathers. The reds have red and black wing feathers mixed. Not really any tail feathers to speak of. I only have one chick, besides one with obvious green "x" from Becky, that has a distinct black spot on the head/neck, the others seem more plain, red with blondish undersides and fuzzier. They all eat like hogs and pick on the Cornish Xs who are more layer back.

All except the totally red chick has at least 1" of wing feathers showing. The all red one maybe has 1/8" - 3/16 of wing feathers showing.

Tracy, I think you're correct. 3 Production Reds & 1 Red Broiler.

It was going to be a suprise but when you posted about building one I couldn't help myself.

One of my students has limited funds so she is building it for me. Meg supplied the wire, I've got the tubing. It'll be a few days before completion.

No problem, we'll get them all sorted out sometime.
If you want to use your organic feed, just add scrambeled or hard boiled eggs, maybe a little cooked beans or tofu to their feed everyday. I'm giving mine a sprout mix, eggs and kefir. They only eat their flock raiser when they run out of the good stuff. I'm going to go buy some organic chick starter to replace the flock raiser tomorrow and gradually move them further over to whole grains, and the mixture I'm making.

I do have a parakeet, getting her nest ready, so I'm so excited!! I need to get some sprouts started today and more egg food made.

O.K.
I found my mung beans and millet sprays...

Now I could use some suggestions on the easiest and quickest ways to sprout them. I don't have a sprout maker anymore.
It's on the shopping list for next week. lol..

That's very sweet. I'm sure I'll still use it. Mine is small and not very sturdy.

Wheat sprouts really fast if you can find wheat berries and they love them. I found two pounds of fenugreek at, an online spice store and that also sprouts well, high protein, like clover and smells like maple syrup. They love it. Apparently, fenugreek is used as a flavor additive and to increase appetite in a lot o animal feeds. It's also being used experimentally lime clover for grazing and hay up in the northern part as a cover crop. I love the smell, part maple syrup, part Indian restaurant.
You can also do clover seeds, can find those in the sprouting section at Whole Foods.
