FINALLY, someone came out of the henhouse and said it! and around here, it's those darn EEs. i had a few that in the summertime never had a solid, well, you know... one of them was so disgusting, but she was the kids favorite right up until one of the twins ran in the house crying and screaming, "ali barfed on me out of her bottom!"

oh mikey, it is entirely possible i may never eat chicken again now

not that your meaties are gross looking, on the contrary, and i am finding it difficult to watch them grow up. i think i need a 12 step program and a martini.

Yes, it was pretty early this year as chickens are usually a week later. But with Indy on the 30th, they changed it.

You can try calling and asking if they have space, but it's probably too late.

i ask them but they said no because
they are having the poultry on monday
and it was alot of work for the entries
hopefully next year congratulations
to the people competing this year

I had a two week old fatty with a gash under his chin today, too. Must be the heat or the full moon. Don't know who did it since they were running around with the bigger chicks at the time.
He's hanging out with the little silkies indoors for now. Need to buy some blue kote tomorrow.

I feel bad for the big chickens, trying to fly up on little roosts and finding out their clipped wings don't work. But, they lost their flight privileges by being bad. So I don't feel too bad. Just a little. It's actually funny in a sad sort of way.
