Thanks Becky!

BTW - nice shotgun post!

I made a sandbox last week for the chickens. Took them awhile to figure out it wouldn't eat them. It's a big, black pan from HD. Pastrymama gave me the idea. Today, one of the buttercups was taking a bath and six chickens were in line for the bath!

Wow...you guys are quick! Thanks for the info on the law in Surprise, that helps! Also for the HOA advice. It is hard to find houses that are not HOA in a lot of the newer areas. Looking for ward to getting settled. Seems like thea great group here with lots of good info.

Thanks for the welcome!

Mikey and Tracy: How did you end up with your chicks? Are the ones that are supposed to be, pullets?
I'm pretty sure 5 of my 6 are pullets (the PRs, BAs and 1 GSL) I"m very sure that one of my GSLs is a roo!
My friend that I gave the other 4 to thinks she has all pullets (1 GSL, 1 BR, 1 BA, & 1 LB)

We split an order from ideal.

All was as supposed to be although I think Tracy & I got a red broiler production red switched somewhere.

Next time will order different colors..

Actually, I'm on the list for Apenzeller Spitzhaubens! Though they're going to be straight run...

App. Spitz linkey

And BTW...

If I do Cornish again (assuming I'm not too freaked out next week) they're going to live in a tractor.

Those things are poop machines!

I can see the pics! Nice menagery! But where is the pic of helga?

I have a stray that looks very similar to Baby. But he is a tennisball hunting agility maniac

.
Here he is, a couple month after showing up, approx 1 year old (he ignores chickens, they don't look like tennis balls)

Yeah, but they won't move fast enough

. Stationary balls are being brought to me, not hunted. If I go with him near a tennis court he looks like a rescue dog. He will sniff over the whole area and I and up with two dozend lost balls

So what do you think?

Change the pants.

or

Wipe it off and go in smelling like chicken poo and hope the kids don't think I'm incontinent.
