Arizona Chickens

They are just off grand on a frontage road north of Greenfield, OK place, but a bit messy sometimes where the chicks and ducks are in the back. There is a better store on Waddel between Reems and Litchfield called Dales Town & Country, very clean and big place...... http://www.dalestownandcountry.com/

Interesting...and they have the animals, like pigs and chickens and such as well?

As you can tell, there isn't anything like this down here. I was going to have to ask a guy that works at a store I frequent, to ask his friend if I could buy some pigs from him. Convoluted? Yes. Pain in the butt? Yes. Plus, I don't really like either of said people I would need to use to get pigs.

Not sure on other livestock, perhaps give them a jingle......

Gallo del Cielo, Just a comment from a long time lurker.. Don't post often.. Man of few words, I guess.. I have fed my chickens chilie pepper seeds every three months, as a regular preventative measure, and have never had a case of worms.. I have done this as long as I have had chickens, and my Mother used to do this for her chickens as well.. She never had a case of worms either.. She thought it worked, and I feel she was right.. Just my opinion.... Will...

wow... you folks were BUSY today.

Got 12 eggs today. Nice to get an even dozen. I just wish they were fertile, they are gorgeous! I've got at least 8 shades of color in the egg department.

They are all getting along with the exception of the splash roo, they are still beating him up. The BW hasn't started crowing yet, but he looks to be getting frisky with some of the smaller girls. He's getting bigger and is eating up a storm and has started to look real regal, just like his daddy.

Tracydr, If that question was for me, I use about two table spoons of dried cayenne pepper seeds mixed in a bowl of scratch for three days, every three months as a regular preventative measure.. My eight old hens eat it up, and clean the bowl.. I have never used jalapeno seeds, but my hens eat my jalapenos off the bush, and my onion blades as well.. lol. they're weird.. Will...

edited, because I couldn't find the dictionary...

Howdy Will,

Strictly as a preventative or also as a de-wormer? Do you still have occasional infestations or no? It is rare for us, but I am now dealing with tapeworms...

Thanks in advance...
