I found new homes for most of my excess chickage this weekend but I still have 2 EE roos that need new homes. One is almost purely white and the other is mostly white with black hackle, wing and tail feathers. Anyone interested? They are 8 weeks old.

I was just ordering my chicken feed for the month and thought I would share. I order organic Rogue feed from Azure Standard. The truck comes from Oregon to deliver. I don't just get chicken feed. They are a full line grocery and specialize in organic, natural and bulk foods. I know that there are several stops in the Phoenix area and one in Prescott Valley as well as others in AZ. Just in case you are interested, the web site is at www.azurestandard.com I put in my order on the second Thursday of every month and meet the truck the next Tuesday. You have to join a co-op to get involved and the company can direct you to the closest one.
It's kind of like Whole Foods, but a LOT cheaper. You will have to register with the web site to see the prices, or call them for a catalog. If you like things like raw milk cheese, goat's milk yogurt and cheese, or organic meats, or other things that are hard to find, you will like it. I love to order their organic produce. It is cheep and beautiful! I have also ordered started, organic vegetable plants for my garden.

I am getting the humidity down. I took the water out this morning. Also, I am a little annoyed that I bought a hot water heater thermostat. It is on every homemade incubator I looked at, but seriously, this isn't the best idea. It will shut off the light and let the temp change how-many-degrees before letting it come back on? I think it must swing several degrees. No indication on the package. Wish I had gone with the dimmer switch.
I have a ton of pics on my camera to sort and upload and then I will start taking pics of my process.
I think my bator is pretty cool, just hope it works.

We got the place in QC!
Now I need to know where the closest or best feed store is on that side of town. Have been going to the stock shop in Peoria....Any suggestions you all in QC? We are around Ellsworth and QC...I think someone mentioned a feed store they really liked awhile back.

Okay, the water heater thermostat that everyone uses in their homemade bators turned the light off at 104* and back on when the temp got down to 97* How is this helpful???
