Wow, that pvc turner was really well thought out. Makes me want to start over. I keep trying to keep my friend in mind, though. She took 13 of my fertile, barnyard eggs, put them in a plastic bin with a small bowl of water and a heat lamp, and I think they put some sort of clear plastic table cloth over it. They shoved a meat thermometer in the side and tried to keep it at about 100*. Very simple, no fuss. They hatched 12 eggs. Sometimes I wonder if knowing too much makes us crazy. I know I get obsessed. Trying not to over think it.
I am getting the humidity down. I took the water out this morning. Also, I am a little annoyed that I bought a hot water heater thermostat. It is on every homemade incubator I looked at, but seriously, this isn't the best idea. It will shut off the light and let the temp change how-many-degrees before letting it come back on? I think it must swing several degrees. No indication on the package. Wish I had gone with the dimmer switch.
I have a ton of pics on my camera to sort and upload and then I will start taking pics of my process.
I think my bator is pretty cool, just hope it works.
