Not sure what they'll be yet! It will be a surprise! They should all be pullets standard sizes but 'rare breeds' I've seen people have gotten polish, mottled houdan (sp?), Cochin, white face spanish?, a bunch of different breeds. There should be 8 different breeds mixed in my order. (We weren't sure which ones we would like!)

Thanks dlayne! I'd've been scared to start with that many (only a short 5 months ago) ten seemed like a bunch.

Of course chicken math kicked in and I've just ordered another 10, & maybe going to get another dozen on top of that.

I've seen quite a few raised eyebrows around here!

Parrots. LOUD. OBNOXIOUS. Parrots. If you did not have kids, I would suggest that you think about getting ones that have lots of foul language. Since you do, you need ones with FOWL language. Specifically, train them to crow. Get some of the long-crower You-Tube videos and play them over and over until your lovely pttisticines (did I spell that wright?) consistently belt out good long loud crows.

Hey gang..... it's good to be back! I had my shoulder rebuilt just after Thanksgiving and all I have been able to do is read a bit to keep up with everyone. Just now able to get the use of my arm (and hand) back.

We are only keeping ten. My inlaws are taking some and then we'll see where we are at!
