Everytime I decide AGAINST an incubator, an ad comes up for the Genesis...or there's a featured thread on the main page about incubating and hatching.

I hate being indecisive.

Thank you every one for the anniversary wishes! Heehee, yes, we both strongly favor the gothic style (though no beliefs attached, we are both proudly Agnostic). Redneck/Goth probably best describes us (style wise), though we don't aim to fit in any particular mold. We just go with what we like. =) Life's short, have fun!

AZKat should be here some time today to drop off an EE roo, and I told her, YAY! Just in time for our Anniversary! Now the roo is instantly super special

I have to come up with a really special name for him.

I'd go with the Hova Bator Genesis with an automatic turner. I really like the Brinsea Octogon 20, but it's just to pricey. DH told me this am that I could do what ever I wanted to, but he reminded me that I do have 5 small children that will poke, prod, and otherwise torment baby chicks. Not to mention HE'S not taking care of them (the chicks). I really need to make a decision SOON, my two new BLRW are fertile now, so if I don't act soon, I'll miss my window. And I think it'd be really neat for the kiddos to see the incubating/hatching process. hmmmm.....

i like the 1588. I am borrowing a LG right now and it seemed ok til it dropped temp to 94 and then jumped to 118. CURSE YOU LG INCUBATOR!

Are you incubating Seramas? Do you have to use the quail racks for those?

Just got through visiting with AZKat! She is a doll, super sweet! The roo she brought established himself quickly as top in the pecking order. Sweety tried briefly to challenge him, but was quick to submit. Now they are all running around in the yard together, each pretty content with their place in the pecking order. Smooth transition!

My new Wyandotte has been like this ALLLLLLLL day. The lady I bought her from said she was acting like she might want to go broody...what do all you experts think? Please don't tell me she's sick! She hasn't left her make-shift nesting box at all today! Should I stick the egg she laid yesterday under her? I'm a little scared to, every time I get too close, she sounds like that little dinosaur on Jurassic Park.
