Yes, Chrystalgail. She needs some wellies as she is re-creating the Welbar, but you could always ask. I would expect breeder Wellies are better quality than hatchery, but do you care? They'd be dark, but not super-dark eggs.

If this batch of MF cochins, BCMs, and Brick red olive eggers poops out, I will order again. But, since it will be right around my bday, I will justify placing a BIG order of eggies.

No I dont really care if they are hatchery or not

I dont plan on breeding them or anything.

Hmmm, if you do decide to order eggies.... I might want to go in on some (LOL) or it might be easier if I just place an order for pullet chicks

People like Wellies! I don't think you would have any issue selling them on CL if you ordered a whole batch. Assuming the vultures here left you with any

Edited: But hatchery birds might not have REALLY dark eggs

This thread is faster than a speeding bullet.
Man, I REALLY want to go to that Casa Grande show!
I'm so far away though. UGH. If anyone goes please take photos!

Anyway, Laree have you ever tried adding a little cheese into the bread? Or some kind of flavor extract?
Are The Mille de Fleur cochins flighty chickens? I hope you hatch your eggs. They are such gorgeous birds.
Your on a lot and you mention your kids, are you an at home Mum? I just don't have a job...

I painted the coop today and I had to wonder, how long would a wood coop last in AZ when coated and protected?
What do you do when the wood cracks or splinters? :C

That is what Im a little concerned about, but hey you never know. Also they are sold out till May

Why risk it? A breeder could be sure to sell you a chicken that at least came from a dark egg.

True! Hmmm, guess I will need to watch the auctions on here
big_smile.png
and then invest in an incubator

cant depend on the broody being broody when I need her to be broody

I have tried a number of things, but the bread isn't just flavorless, it is not good. Thats why I was thinking poor flour?

MFCs temperment? I don't know. Cochins are supposed to be awesome, but Enjaytoo is our resident MFC and mottled cochin expert. I don't truly care though, I just REALLY want one running around my yard.

If it occasionally makes breakfast, AWESOME. Like fish: moving art.

No I am not a SAHM. I work a lot. A LOT. I am working now, in fact. But at work I have multiple screens, and am often doing many, many things. I type fast, and when I run the big reports, I cannot do anything else without crashing my computer. The kids are asleep now, the DH is out for his bday, and I have nothing to do but work & chat with chicken people.
