Red tails can and will eat chickens, as Gallo so well stated. Preferred diet and what one will live on if one must are not the same things, for birds of prey or for human beings.

You should take that deal. You will never build one for that price with brand new lumber, wire and hardware. Good luck to you!

I never told anyone on the forum yet that I am a sand painter. Not traditional but what I developed of my own style. Want to share a sand painting I just did of our farm dog Darcy. Been trying to do chickens but not real happy with the results yet. I am working on a different style and will show it when I get it worked out. Here is the picture I used and the results. The flash made it more sparkly then it is.

Thanks G. For the new kid in town there certainly was a lot of jumping but I don't think it was for joy! Quinn even took on a larger turkey poult and had it by the neck. I think the pigeons all came in for goodies and there wasn't much dozing. Just a few napping in the shade.Mama Hen Chris, such great pics--as always. That's awesome that Puffycheeks could take on Quinn too! When he got there, did everyone jump for joy? Did the pigeons run to him? Did everybody doze? Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
Now that song will be in my head for the rest of the day.![]()
