i have had many EEs pass through my yard, and this looks like an EE roo to me. green legs are a pretty good sign. very pretty coloring, although not a particular design. EE's are very flashy, i love them.

i went out to check my birds for mites last night while they were roosting. no signs so i am happy about that, but i am still unhappy about the no eggs situation we seem to be in.

you all remember the story where ginger laid her egg standing up on the patio and then laid another right after? well she did that exact same thing 3 days ago. and i found a soft shelled egg on the coop floor under her spot on the roost last night. she gives no care whatsoever about where she is laying these eggs! even just plopping one out while she's settling in for bed. i'm glad it didnt go splat all over, but still not happy with her, or any of them for that matter. gosh, at least they didnt eat it...
