I had stopped at Sprouts on thunderbird near the 101. Made it to the door, then realized I left my IPad in the truck. Ernie, always ha to pee before going in to a building, it can take several minutes. By the time I go back it was gone.

I have it on lost mode, message will appear as soon as one one turns it on.

I suspect some one thought they scored. Showed it to a buddy that know all about the layers of protection. Then they just trashed it. If they turned it on I would get the GPS location. I am lost. The IPhone gives me 1 one at a time. Way to small print and I is not at all the same.

I want to ft a lap top, I wanted a Mac . Hen I can I will have to settle for a PC.

I real so cut off.

maryhysong - I would be interested in a caponizing class if it were not too expensive.

LKDoria - sorry about your Ipad. Sucks that people feel they can just steal them.

RMJess - your flowers are beautiful! Wish we lived up there, I love that area and my DH hates being so close to the neighbor's houses here.
 
I have not had chickens yet here in AZ, but yesterday we got the start to our chicken coop. It will be a project, as we want to build the nest boxes so we have access to them from the outside. Then we will be adding insulation, the roosts, and a different light w/ a cage around it. Then we will add the run area-all this after clearing some bushes, burying hardware cloth under the whole things and having a cement curb all around. We have some pretty fearless predators out here, so it will also be near our backyard area where our Large dogs are. If something is around, they will tell us,& we can back them up. So the chicken dream is a lot closer! I hope to get 3 or 4 nice laying hens, then add a rooster so it will keep a supply coming. It will be nice to have chickens again-I have really missed them & their eggs!
 
Does anyone have chocolate orpingtons? I saw photos of some and now I'm coveting them the way my friends covet shoes! If I make the investment but end up with a rooster or two, would it be hard to sell them? They are so beautiful but while I had great luck giving away my roos the last time around, I really don't want to count on being that lucky again. Plus, they're really, stupidly expensive at the source I found. My luck, I'd get all roos...
 
You have to buy plants that are adapted to this climate and altitude. You can't order off of ebay because most of their plants are adapted for the middle west type climate. You need species that have been bred to survive in this area. There are quite a few things that are hybrids of lilies, etc. I do know you can't buy geraniums in Phoenix and bring them up here, they won't survive. Have to buy geraniums that have been adapted to this area. Also cannot really go to Flagstaff as their climate is even higher and and colder, and that's a whole new ball game. An interesting point is that you have to buy Queen Anne's Lace up here from a nursery but it grows all over the place in Indiana and is considered a nuisance weed.

Hey guys. So I've got two 3 week old black stars. I took them out of the brooder today and put them into the run (they are separated). It's just been so nice, and I put a heat lamp out for them just in case. Anyway, one of them is taking dirt baths. I was shocked. My other girls were WAY older when I saw them first take dirt baths. They were proper pulleys with all their feathers by their first dirt bath. They've only been in the run today, so they haven't even had time to see the big girls take theirs. Has anyone seen chicks take dirt baths this young?
