I am very excited. now about 35 more eggs and about 3 weeks differences in ages on the rest of the eggs. next year any broody will be separated with the eggs I want to put under her instead of letting her get eggs from all the coop. ah well live and learn. :)

:jumpy :jumpy
great news! Congratulations my friend!

Congrats on the new house, carnivore!

LKD, are you on the road yet or sidelined by car troubles?

I added alfalfa pellets to the chickens' FF, and I'm not sure they like it. I'm trying to up their greens, without giving them ALL of the kale and chard in my garden!

My parents are looking at house for me in Eagar. I think it's too close to a road, but price and everything else looks great. Oh, and the lacking jobs in Eagar part might be a tad problematic, lol. Job first, then move.

Things are moving, finally. Buying a bigger place about 10 miles west of where I live now. 2 acre lot, so plenty of room for chickens. Already has a small shop, a haybarn, and a horse corral. Making plans on enlarging the shop for all my woodworking equipment, the corral will become a large chicken run, and possibly put breeders in the haybarn. Probably will build a large garage for my bike and truck. No more working in a gravel driveway! The place I have now is so tiny, I have already built fence to fence.
Congrats on the new place.

Yesterday one of the guys at my DH's place of employment was using the bathroom when he saw what he thought was a paper towel on the floor move. It was a juvenile grey fox that somehow made it's way into the building and then the bathroom. Maybe it was looking for water? It had been in the building for about a day since they found it's scat in another part of the building earlier. One of the guys caught it and let it go at a nearby park.

This was near 40th street and Southern so you know these grey foxes are in neighborhoods and industrial parks. I've seen one crossing Broadway off of Priest by the Double Tree Inn. This little guy must have gotten lost from his parents or maybe they ran him off thinking he was old enough to fend for himself. The property behind where he was found is a small farm with livestock and lots of poultry plus there are a lot of feral cats in the area so there is plenty for foxes to eat.
