Arizona Chickens

A coyote killed all of my chickens last night. It was my fault as I didn't close the run in my extreme laziness before bed. It just walked right in. I feel like the worst human being ever.

Ouch. I am so sorry!

I meant to ask before what everyone uses for painting the inside of their coops? Ours looks old and ugly and needs a re-do.

I use whatever leftover paint is hanging around the shed. If I have a choice I prefer exterior paint or a glossy interior paint, because it can be hosed down easier. You can also check out the "oops" paint at Home Depot. Sometimes you can find good deals there.

Hello everyone ^_^ I've been gone for so long! How is everyone? I'm finally moved into my new place that comes complete with about a hundred and eighty pigeons that I can play with and take to shows! And thanks to @cyborg my chickens have been nice and safe! I've got a nice big set up that holds the chickens and my new goats Diablo!
And Ducky! (Whom I will get a picture up of later because BYC won't let me add of another picture)
welcome back!!

At the Hazardous Materials drop off, near west side frontage rd north of Ruthrauff, you can get free paint. They take paint dropped off and pool it in 5-gal buckets. I don't know if they mix interior with exterior. I have never picked up paint from them, just passing on the info that they have it available. There is a limit how much you can get at one time. Might be a similar program up in Phoenix.

Hello, I rescued this beautiful rooster to keep him from going to a shelter but I cannot keep him due to HOA/noise. He has been in my kitchen since I got him and doing wonderful. I need a loving family that would like to adopt him. I AM IN APACHE JUCTION, AZ. Please contact me if interested!

That looks like a Millefleur D'Uccle.

Rooster collars work great! You can't hear my big Black Orpington roo at all. Plus he sleeps in a small crate at night. I leave the door open and he walks in there all by himself and I close it at night. I let him out around 9 am and he almost never crows. Even when he does you can't really hear it and it sounds pathetic. Lol. It saves me from having to give him to god knows who and he takes care of my hens.
