I just read this, and it makes me think I don't want any wild birds coming in my yard or to live near a lake where the ducks are flying in or the migrant birds.

Bird flu outbreak spreads to 3 more Midwest turkey farms. http://tiny.iavian.net/4uxz

well it sounds like you've been quite a trooper this week, dealing with the mean hen and then getting rid of the chirps in your bathroom lol. I think you'll do OK this weekend! as I tell my daughters, "go take a nice bubble bath and get a nice hot cup of tea with honey and lemon and if needed if its an emergency go straight for the dark chocolate fast!

Thanks for the empathy. As a matter of fact, I snarfed down 6 dark chocolate marshmallow eggs about an hour ago. They were GOOOOOOD!! LOL
My daughter came down for a 5 day visit and we have had a great time together, so that helped a lot.

I'm wondering if it's not also spread by mosquitoes that bite wild birds then find their way into a poultry barn, especially since they are practicing good bio-security.

Still looking to re-home this young gentleman. He is a 5 month old Bielfelder.

He needs a new home ASAP. Good with the hens, good with people and other animals too. He is used to wearing a collar.

I really wish I didn't have so many cockerels already or I'd take him. I absolutely love these birds, but I just can't justify adding another.

I'm looking for a new home for my Bielfelder cockerel. He's used to wearing a no-crow collar which keeps his crows much quieter than without so he is quieter than the hens but he does sound like a rooster and as he is growing up his frequency of crowing is increasing. I don't want the neighbors complaining. He's a big gentle boy at 5 months old. He's already mating, feeding and dancing for the girls. I've seen him give aerial predator warnings and the hens either freeze or run for cover. He is good around dogs, cats, people and of course the hens. PM me if you are interested. The Dude at 4 months old.
He is one of the sweetest rooster's !!! I would keep hom. But I have another isbar teen that just started crowing.. And need to find him a home too :ep
