Arizona Chickens

I hose my pen down 2x a day, my chicks love to scratch in the little mud puddles, I water the grass I planted for them at that time, so I do two jobs at once. I am planning on putting up the mist system all along the front of the run, I may or not put a timer on it. I will have to wait and see.
My Silkie feather footed Bantam "Peep" turned out to be a Roo! He has been trying to crow for about 2 weeks, he sounds like a teenage boys voice changing. He sure makes me laugh. I have 4 RI Reds, ! Big Red, I think is also a Roo! so 3 for sure are hens. Last but not forgotten is Chicklett and Cleo, they are both Americanas, Now there is also Willy, who is Peep's father. All in all I have 8 in my BYF. Big Red looks more and more like a roo, however he has never tried to crow. I wonder what is up with that??

The coop tour was last Saturday. My family and friend who also went on the tour separately were disapointed in it. We were all hoping to get some great new ideas, but that wasn't the case. The $5 ticket fee went to the food co-op and that was a great idea!

If anyone is interested, I have 6 silkie chicks for sale. 4 splashes and 2 that are buff or white and I belive they will be white. They are about 2 weeks old.

Where are you located? And how much are you asking for them? My daughters sizzle (looks like a silkie) turned into a roo. She's rather sad and so I told her I would get her a real silkie. So now she's excited. She wants a white one though.

I am in Rio Rico and am asking $5 each. I can send pictures if you would like.

Standard Cochins and Light or Buff Brahmas for pets and for eggs probably Cinnamon Queens because I miss my mauve eggs. I thought they were that color because they had just started laying but people have sent me email updates about the ones they got from me and they all have eggs that color. They sure are pretty.

My hubby's favorite is the Orpingtons because they are so gentle and calm. I would probably put those in my favs if I had a purple oops I mean lavander (sp?) one LOL

They came from elsewhere. My sizzles (possibly 3 of them are, 1 for sure) and my two standards (1 EE and 1 SLW) and then my bantam cochin roo (who I just love)

Ok that is just 4 but Im suspecting at least 1 or 2 more sizzles. They are getting suspicious looking wattles.

Edit to add. check out my website, got pictures up of the girls I got from you

Awesome!! Love the pics. The EEs have the wrong date though. You didn't take the smallest ones I had I don't think. I thought you chose out of the few older ones that I had and if I am correct on that then your date should be 4/19/09

The smaller ones were 4/27/09.

Edit: The smaller ones are in that big bin on the same side as my brooder building. The older ones were in the huge long building across from my brooder building. If that helps any.
