I guess that it will happen when it happens. If it takes some time, that will make my new chicks even stronger. I have them in a spare bedroom in a big plastic dog crate as their brooder.

Does any one have hatching eggs for sale near Florence,coolidge,mesa,queen qreek,or gilbert ? I am looking for ameraucana (any color) ,marans(any color) ,cochins,and other rare breeds .

Sounds like what I've been doing as they grow...cardboard box, plastic bins, dog crates...all depending upon the number, size of birds, & how much they like to escape! I add a 4' tall x-pen around the set up too when they reach the "not staying in, I want to explore" stage. Has been working until I get them transitioned to outside full time. Even then it's been the dog crate with the xpen until I'm ok with cutting them loose in the yard.

Is anyone interested in a baby call duck?



I hated her for fun. But, I cannot keep her because water is scarce in my area. If you are interested in her, please PM me. She is $5 or I will trade for something.

you said she was a call duck? what variety? (white, fawn, etc)

We have a very handsome Muscovy duck here at school that could use a friend (the goose isn't too fond of him XD)

of course we would have to keep the cute little thing in a brooder for a while and let her grow before putting her into the big pen for sure. but oh my gosh what a cutie!!

On a more random note

GUYS MY DAD GOT HIS ELK THISMORNING!!

yaaaaaaaayyyy!!

I was starting to stress that he wouldn't get it before Friday,

btu HAY a wednesday elk is a great elk.

I cant wait to see the pictures, he was so out of breath when he called thismorning, he shot it at 200 yards with a 150 yard sighted scope with a 7mm.

so proud of my dad ^^

he was getting real bummed out when he did't get it by yesterday.

and then whaddaya know, an entire frigging herd this morning and he dropped his cow with 3 shots.

so excited for those elk steaks and elk jerky and elk meat stew and elk stroganoff.

getting hungry just thinkning about it.

he said hes going to have it's head mounted at our cabbin YAY. wall decor ^^

i'll show you guys the pictures when he send them.

I actually found someone today. A family friend had stopped by to say hi, and she wanted her since she has other calls. If you are interested in call ducks, @RavynFallen had amazing ones!

If you want another duck, I have a full grown Pekin that I'm wanting to get rid of.

Actually, there are two Tucson poultry shows coming up. The first one is a smaller, one day show on October 22 - a few days from now. The October show is NOT at the Fairground. The October 22 show is at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, near River/Alvernon, in the "Hay Barn" - which is the big equestrian ramada on the east side of the park.

The big Tucson poultry show is November 19-20 at the Pima County Fairground.
