Looks nasty here too. Took them out for about an hour but then the wind started and the all crammed themselves in the small coop I have. Silly chickens!!
I subscribed to henny and roo and got my first box today. Lots of nice stuff and the liner is a nest box insert.
Hey, does anyone know if I can make Chicken Fajita's out of rooster's?
Sure. Why wouldn't you be able to?
The older the bird, the tougher the meat though. You could always brine the meat for a few days first to tenderize it if it's more than a few months old.
Instant pot for the win. Tender in minutes.![]()

LOVE instapot I use it nearly every day! Made ribs in 20 minutes once
OK rained all morning here and was lovely then drizzled at roost time ANTS attacked Everywhere it was horrible I was being attacked and bit even on my neck so out came the DE and they disappeared as soon as I laid it down
we have lots of shade so the DE didn't get wet since it was sprinkles only
Anyhow my neck stings bc of the ants and I might just wake up as 'antlady' tomorrow lol
I hear cream of wheat kills ants....
Grits is the same theory... super dry food, dehydrates them.. didn'tIt was still no more than a bare sprinkle here. I know what you mean about the ant's. I'm still battling them over here too. I noticed that some of them have wing's on them, so I would imagine that those are the queens about to fly off to create more anthills. How would Cream of Wheat do any good in killing them???
