Whew it's too hot outside this week I cranked up the misters yesterday and will do the same today..

You all know that I'm the Long Distance Arizonian,,, But still like to hang around here..
I also own a set of misters...
The grandchildren just playing under them when it gets near 90*

Yes, we know that you are the long distance Arizonian. When are you coming back to visit your relatives or whatever?

Trying to get myself down there, but not sure who would take care of my pets and chickens in my absence. DS will be there for his BFF's wedding first week in October. Lives in Mesa, but Ceremony will be held in Sedona. Just cant make that trip this time.

MOMO LAID AN EGG THIS EVENING!
I am so happy! I came home from tutoring to find a big, beautiful white egg in the nest box. She had not laid since she got sick last month. It's nice to see her whole factory is back up & running smoothly again. I would say she has now made a full recovery!

Having big wind storm, no rain so far been about an hour since it started..

I'm seeing a couple of water spots on the glass door, but not too much.

Well the ee's were sure cranky last night before roost it's actually due to one pullet, Auggie. (Oggie)

She struts around, the tallest too, growling and picking fights. I think she wants to move up in the order so she's especially picking on Piper, fighting with kicking her feet and everything!

At first Marshmellow ignored it but a few hens interceeded. First Tigger, then Ellie and finally Mocha all pecking Auggie away. Finally he interceeded and it stopped I picked her up and cuddled her hoping to calm her and distract but it's her character.... poor Piper I tried to cuddle piper too but she hates it and escapes asap lol

On that note there are very few who won't cuddle it's just piper, tigger and mocha who never relax with me lol

The buffs are starting to lay more I think the stress of the move and the heat kept them resting

I can always tell when I'll get more eggs, more hens are more desperate for treats, etc.
