I thought I read 3 hours somewhere
It'll depend on your start point as to how long it takes and time of day too. The south rim is closer so that seems fairly reasonable.
In Phoenix there's the Desert Botanical Garden, I love that place!

@KDOGG331 There is the Phoenix Zoo or the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium and in PHX there is an Aquarium at the AZ Mills Mall - we've enjoyed all of them - for a whole fun filled packed day the Wildlife zoo is my favorite - be ready for lots and lots and lots!! ALSO in Tucson there is Old Tucson Studios and the Desert Wildlife Museum - both are fun, fun places - there is also a smaller more intimate zoo in Tucson, Reid Park Zoo. With kids this is my go to place. I've never been to Rawhide but it's also a western type town thing. AND in Apache Junction there is the Goldfield Ghost mine and Lost Dutchman. See lots to do!!
What is there to do in Arizona and the surrounding areas? Going to Phoenix in March for a show but spending the whole week, maybe week and a half, cause my birthday's not long after, and looking for ideas. Obviously going to explore Phoenix but would like to see some other stuff too. Possibly even other states if they're close enough. What are like the top things I need to see or do there?
Get the trip advisor app that will give you everything there is to do. I’ve been here 10 yrs and still haven’t seen it all.
Lake Havasu has a London bridge right from England that’s pretty cool. Disney land is about 5 hrs away.
There is some sort of aquatic center off the 101 I think near Scottsdale where I think you can interact with dolphins that's pretty new and a few outlet malls apparently shopping is popular
And most likely March will be in the 80s, there's tons of sun either way
Sornoran Desert Museum is good, and has just about every wild animal in Arizona there. Then after that, nearby is the Kartchner Cavern east of Tucson that would be a nice place to see also. It's still a functional live cave. You have to make reservations for it, you can't just show up. They go in as a group with a guide. (I'm typing what my hubby is telling me to tell you.)
Edit: If you stay in a Motel in Flagstaff, you can to go to see the Grand Canyon, the meteor crater, the Sunset crater national monument petrified national forest, and other attraction's in that area. Some you can do in one day, and other's might take more than one day to do more than one thing. By the way, what type of show are you coming down here for?
I guess that when they were tearing the London Bridge down in England they numbered every stone with a number as they disassemble it, and made a map of it, so that it could properly be reassemble in Lake Havasu.
Yes they did. It’s pretty cool.
Gilbert there is an olive tree farm where they make olive oil. Petrified forest is pretty neat too. There is a trading post up that way also that is cool. Four corners is where 4 states come together. Or you can “stand on the corner in windslow Arizona”.
And on a chicken note. I got 2 eggs today. So either Emma is laying again or Matilda laid her first egg.
