Arizona Chickens

Mine have been enjoying daily cuttings from the garden...especially the Malabar Spinach.

My next door neighbor has 2 male goats and they buy 50 pound bags of carrots, and she likes giving me a few of those for my chickens. Her goats were supposed to be lawn-mower's, but they aren't doing a very good job of that over there! :gig

Yeah, I buy the large containers from Costco when they have it. I just eyeball it. I mix feed in 5-gallon buckets. I'd guess maybe 1/4 - 1/3 cup of chili pepper flakes per 5-gallon bucket.

Cool, thanks! I can calculate from there. :hugs

Goats prefer shrubs, small trees. Not lawn...she shoulda got a sheep for the lawn.

20 pages for me to catch up on.... don't know how long it will take me...

PUMPKINS...... Does anyone want pumpkins for their feathered, and four legged friends?????
There is a church in Tempe, 1945 E Guadalupe RD Tempe
They had a fund raiser pumpkin patch and have lots of leftovers.....
go pick up what you want and leave a donation.....
I suggest $1 a pumpkin, but they are happy with any contribution.
They are putting the pumpkins up outside the fence a little at a time so that the pumpkins don't become road kill.
I probably won't respond if you ask questions because I have to catch up on 20 pages before I get to this post....

I hear goats are really noisy. Someone has a large herd of sheep miles from here, maybe 5 miles or so. When they bring them to fields to graze I can hear them. The first time it sounded both like a party and scared screaming at the same time .... I was like what?! Then I listened harder and distinguished their bleeting :lau
