Arizona Chickens

Sierra Vista proper doesn’t allow rooster and only allows for a small flock of hens... I checked before I bought chickens... where I live though I’m “allowed” any number of chickens I want so long as the coop isn’t any closer than 100’ from my neighbors property...

My coop is on the island to the left of the blue dot...
Been thinking about getting a goat or 10 to put out in the lower left corner of the property (would have to pen it in of course)

I already have enough pullet's now growing out, and unless I get buyer's, there's no need for me to hatch any more all summer long.
lol, why is it, I have a hard time picturing you walking by your chicken room and not wanting to look at your incubator? see hatching eggs in there.

Guess what!! So I had some people looking again at my baby chick's pics, and they said that Minnie is a D'Uccle! She has the big cheek muffs, so do the two new ones! So in the process of figuring it out, someone suggested calling to find out what hatchery the pet store used.. so they use Ideal.. and Minnie was all black, just like the Brown Red D'Uccle! And they also sell a white and mille fleur that match up to the other two chicks! I am sooo excited!

When I get tired of it and need a break I do take a couple of month's off from the hatching, unless ant's or snakes decide to eat my smaller grow out's. Then I have to replace them. ;)

My bantam Cochin is definitely different so I’d say probably right about it being a D’UccleView attachment 2147941
Funny cuz I bookmarked your other pics, and I swore they looked the same! But the consensus was the super poofy cheeks on mine are missing on cochins. I was looking forward to a mini basketball poof!! But both are very sweet and family/kid friendly, so i am happy :)
