Arizona Chickens

Add extra eggs?? Not sure what you mean. Only 3 eggs made it to lockdown, and one hatched on Day 20, and the other one hatched yesterday, on Day 21. The third one is still in the incubator.
OK, now I get it! I originally put the eggs in the incubator in the morning, and added 2 more in the evening. So 2 eggs were put in about 8 hours later. But the egg that's still in the incubator was laid on 7/28, so it went in with the first group.

Yes, that's what I was asking.

They are so small, fuzzy, and cute! I can hold both of them in the palm of one hand. :love

And just because everybody loves baby chick pictures, here they are. These were taken yesterday.

Got a good sized clump of bee's hanging on the fence in the back yard. My DH is about to go out and spray them with some Permethrin 10 solution. Hopefully he get's the queen too.
I've had that happen - years ago i sprayed them after trying with no luck to find a beekeeper to come get them. Then again just this past year - I called a beekeeper to come collect them but they were gone in 24 hours before the keeper could come - went to swarm somewhere else. I would call a beekeeper if possible to spread the word if anyone wants to come get them - sometimes the beekeepers have a shortage of hive structures built to contain them in though. EDIT- I just saw he got them good - never mind the beekeeper call!

We had bee's for 2 different year's that took up residence under our back porch. We didn't want them to reestablish themselves there.

Well that was an interesting thread, my husband got camp ones so they are in a tin with a lid since we have young kids I don't want messing in them and it's hard for me to open them. Good to know some chickens try to eat it, I'll never leave them open unattended. I guess that's one perk of baby proofing, it'll roll over to chicken proofing lol. I guess that means no using them on that side of the yard.
