I think it's 15-20 miles away, but we're getting the smoke. I saw a big cloud/plume of smoke out my front window a bit ago.

Well, I hope they can get it under control. I guess we need some rain without all the lightening.

me too. It looks like it's burning straight north, straight for Prescott. We're due east of the fire. At least the winds should die down after tomorrow.

My DH just told me there's a fire in Flag and the one in Prescott. I thought I saw that Code Red system was down nationwide (maybe it's back up now?). I hope the wind dies down soon. It was really picking up this afternoon.

At least that one's northeast of Flagstaff and moving away from Flag. But evacuations already ordered. Not a good fire season so far. It's started before a lot of areas were past their last frost dates.

I'm watching the news on tv right now, and they said that 2 dozen home's have been destroyed in the Tunnel Fire. 750 acres have been burned in the Crook's fire.

I'm watching the news on tv right now, and they said that 2 dozen home's have been destroyed in the Tunnel Fire. 750 acres have been burned in the Crook's fire.

The one near Flagstaff is along Hwy. 89 northeast of Flagstaff, by Doney Park. I have friends in Doney, the one that's also a Facebook friend has not posted.

This video with county authorities is long, but in it they mention a man calling them for help because his house was on fire and he was trapped, and they could not get to him because of the fire. They also said someone had minor children at home, and when somebody got through to check on them, they were not there. Heartbreaking.
