Did you get any responses ? I process my own and with friends over here in Cochise county, but I can't sell them dead to anyone without a stamp!

I got one response, to which I replied...however, she never responded back. So, I don't know. For now, I'll quietly do it in my own yard.

YAY congrats on your new babies!

Last night my 3 week old peeps spent their first night outside. Don't worry, their little coop has a light and we made sure they were all tucked in before bedtime. At least I don't have to clean out the stinky brooder for the time being.

Also, I think I might have a buyer for my little buttercup roo this weekend!
His little practice crow is getting better all the time. He's growing on me so I have to get rid of him before I'm forced to keep him.

agreed, nothing is cuter than baby chicks.(I just wish my birds would actually go broody for more than a week...LOL)i will be looking for silkies and wyandottes in a month or so... anyone going to have any then?

I will most likely have little black silkies for sale or buff silkies. Which do you want? I also sell their eggs. I can set a dozen and see what hatches IF you want.

Please does anyone have any eggs they could donate to a good cause for my first incubator? I don't mind what they are either duck or chicken is fine with me.

On another note about eggs. Once my bator is up and running does anyone here have any call duck eggs or bantam wyandotte eggs. These are just a few of some of the ones I am looking for to start up my flock.
Here is the main list...
BLR, white, buff, buff columbian, blue and chocolate wyandotte bantams
ameracauna bantams
Buff or Blue orpington bantams
Silver, gold, buff sebrights
Blue, buff cohins
butterscotch, pastel, blue butterscotch, buff call ducks.

Long list I know, but all the help will be most appreciative

Even a Broody hen from wyandotte, orpington or cochin you want to sell would be good as well.
Please let me know you can PM me.
Thanks

Hello, so glad to see so many az chicken freaks!!! I just started this spring and so far i've been very disappointed with the place i got my only two pullets.... both turned into roos! I'm way out in queen creek and want started pullets because i'm not home enough to try the chick thing yet. any suggestions of somewhere that i can get some actual GIRLS!!

take a look on craiglist, phoenx. . . there is a hatchery/ farm in QC that is advertising there, pullets and chicks, many breeds and age range. The place sounds terrific, they have a bit of zoo, associated, too. . . if that is the place that you did get your chicks, don't be too angry. . . sexing "day old"chicks is an art, not a science. One of my 3 supposedly sexed "girls" turned out to be a roo. . . Best way is to wait until the differences between the genders become apparent in same age chicks, or to buy sex links like red star. . . I've heard that barred rocks can be sexed at birth by the color on the front of their legs, too. . . darker in females. Good Luck to you!

I have several breeds of pullets available if anyone is interested or would like more info please feel free to PM me here. My closest cross streets are 35th ave and Deer Valley Rd in the NW Valley.

I'm very sad to report the untimely death of little Phoenee the silver phoenix roo.
Neighbor dogs are to blame.

I'm very put out and the neighbors will be hearing from me this afternoon.

They have already heard from DH right when it happened 2 nights ago. I just got back from CA last night.

My roommate's dog broke one of my chick's legs and I opted to cull her. She was skittish anyway and my least favorite. Plus, I only had room for 3 hens long term so this made my decision easier.

However, now that I'm down to my favorite 3 hens....I'd be devastated if I lost one!
