Arizona Chickens

soooooooooo, am back from vacay and quickly needed to get more ducks. afterall, I was down to 4! totally unacceptable. another hatchaholic hatched quite a few of my ducks eggs back in may but couldn't sell all the ducklings. so, I went to pick up 3 of them Saturday and brought them home while the fireman and kiddos were out setting a world record for the longest dodgeball game or something. so he came home and looked in the duck yard, hummmmmm. "you said you were only bringing home 2, I see 3!" oh darnnit, I must have been counting in Spanish when I put them in the cage. oh well. the fireman went to work yesterday and then a car pulled up to my house with the remainder of the ducks. what's 3 more? snuck them in to the duck yard, they all look similar perhaps if they scatter, he won't notice. well, he came home this morning and opened the conviently closed blinds and said "are there MORE ducks than when I left?" I looked out the window in utter surprise! I told him that I must have fed them after midnight and then, since they are ducks, they got wet and multipled.

DISCONNECT is so true. Years ago when I butchered 2 goats, we (a group of us woman) had a young man, a neighbor that wanted to join us. We drove down, picked up 2 fine goats, on the way back the boy (19 yrs old) held and petted them, then he got sick when I killed the first one. The woman told me that they know he was going to have a hard time, when he started petting them. Well, his dad was pleased by his son experience. At dinner he took only the meat he was going to eat, and he was careful to eat all of it. He now was connected and realized how precious life is. A hamburger was once no more a live as a vegetable :)lau I know vegetable are a live, but you know what I mean).

Can't believe that DH brought home some moringa tree seeds!! His friend from work gave him 3.
He got them from his family in the Dominican Republic.. Hopefully these will thrive & we can share..
I have heard of people grow them into a shrub. They use the leaves for their chickens..
Chech out how how amazing this tree is!

I was thinking about doing the next color run...I'm getting my races lined up till next summer.
i also want to do the next color run! the bubble run was my first ever 5k and i loved it, i highly recommend it. next one is in march.
Rabbits are very easy. The main issue is being careful when gutting. I can demo but im self taught too. I also have a friend who does butchery classes for them. You get to bring your bunny home.
