He's right- freezing temperatures up here at night.
I am letting them outside now all the time.. they have a red heat lamp on all the time.. in their little coop part.. i bought a heavy duty tarp and covered the entire coop and run..
Hey Macboat, I am not sure where you are located, but I picked up a handful last year at Pratt's in Glendale. I think they have another location. Also, I have been told by a feed store that if I give them a heads up far enough in advance, they will order what I want and include it in their order. Just some options to consider.
Lady, I have had to break the emotional hold that "things" had on me. I can't say it was easy, but it sure felt amazing when the job was complete. p.s. The "things" that I held onto were supposedly momentos. I notice you have used the word "junk". That may be very helpful in remembering while letting them go.
I am going to keep using that word over & over.. When I clean our the storage shed.. 
I am not sure where you live but in Tucson someone posted about cornish x on craigslist. I am also a member of arizona livestock swap on Facebook and there was someone on their selling meat birds in the Phx area. I hope this helps.
