I'll probably get one, but it will be a few weeks until I try putting chooks out again. Can you recommend a good brand/source?

I would recommend Dogtra. For what you want it for, you don't need the latest and greatest. Ebay or Craigslist is a good source for used ones. If you wanted new, probably Ryan's Pet supplies (online or here in Phx). Leerburg usually has nice stuff.

I have the Dogtra 200 NCP. Quality product. If used, make sure it comes with all the stuff with it. Plastic tester, charging cord etc.

Bon Voyage BYC AZ Seed Box!

I just met a little chiken and her husband and had a lovely chat. They're taking the seed box to Phoenix tomorrow. I pulled together a big pile from stuff I grew (and some I bought) and the box is almost full! Start gathering your seeds.

YAY! Whoever gets it or passes it along, please keep us posted on its location. I get down to the Valley rarely and would like to have the opportunity to get it on one of my trips down there. Most likely September as we are expecting our first grandchild in Chandler around the 9th!!

I meant this thread was no longer on my list, not a person.

So, expecting 2 orders of chicks this week, 18 Jersey Giants from Cackle, and 8 Partridge Cochin from My Pet Chicken.
Brooder is ready, Jenny is playing mama to the chicks I got last week. Salesgirl told me they were Buff Orps, receipt said Golden sex-links. I believe they are sex links.

I'm glad to hear Jenny is getting along nicely after such a rough start to life!

Vincenzo found a new home last week but Lorenzo (BCM) and Barbarino (BLue Silkie) are still looking for new homes. I am moving into Lady Kotadoria's on June 6th and roos are not allowed. Lorenzo will be 1 on Sept. 21st and Barbarino will be 1 on June 1st. Barbarino came as an egg from Sleepy Hollow Farms in VA. Not sure what breeder Lorenzo is from. Got him as an egg from a friend. The boys get along together. I am asking a rehoming fee of $25 each obo.

I have them listed on Craigslist and on some of my FB groups. PM me if you or anyone you know may be interested.
