Arizona Chickens

No.. Yeah our little girl is so awesome. A neighbor called and used her one afternoon.. I guess the rat got in and she could not catch it.. Her cats would play with it, but she could not go to bed thinking of it lose in her home.. oh boy did she have a great day over there chasing a rodent, getting a treat & some good old love'n..
You gotta watch that movie. It's a comedy and there's even a song about the Cairn. It has some popular actors. I highly recommend it to everyone.

That is one of the funniest movies ever. It was made by many of the same people that made This is Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind. I love their mocumentary style. It's funny as it is, but even funnier if you ever watched dog shows.

Sill--you mentioned getting a terrier to keep the rodents down. I think that is part of the problem. My 14-year old hound passed away about 6 weeks ago. Coincidentally, rodent pop has increased. The remaining 2 dogs, lab and dasch-mix are no help. The little dash is too beaten down with valley fever to be the rodent hunter he could be. And the lab doesn't care about anything unless it involves a ball or stick to chase.

So...at one point I might have tried snails, but the little nursery owner guy's story about making the snails involved slime. Lots and lots of slime. Wait, no, that wasn't him. The slime story came from the woman who wrote 1/4 Acre Farm. She raised snails for a big escargot party, and there was too much slime in the prep.
My terriers keep the rodents down. We've had roof rats and pack rats both and the dogs will NOT give up until the rodent is dead. Doxies are actually a type of terrier what it's mixed with must not be and labs are definitely not so not much rodent killing instinct.

we had a bunch of Rat Terriers in Louisiana and we never had a rodent problem. I love Cairn's. Have you seen the movie "Best in Show"?
Mine are rat terriers, nothing better for killing rats! I need to look up that movie, sounds like fun.

I have the question up in another thread multiple IDs says its a girl. And since I couldn't find its testes, it should be a poullet.
How old is this bird? With that tail set and it looks like chestnut brown coming in on the wings plus pinking of the face and comb say cockerel. You gotta tell us when this bird matures. Maybe you didn't look in the right place for the testes?

Fred Willard cracks me up with his nonsense as a commentator. Remember he asks if the "dogs go through some kind of miniaturizing process? Says something about why people should dress their Bloodhound up for the dog show. Dress him as Sherlock Holmes with a pipe and stuff. I need to watch it again now.
