for B injections, intramuscular in the breast muscle.I just gave her some Sav-a-chick probiotic that I got from the feed store. Now I'm reading on the package to use with Sav-a-chick electrolyte and it does not have electrolytes in it like the employee said. This stuff says it's just a digestive supplement. At least I got some liquid in her.
I had to go to Petco to get some aquarium tubing to put on the end of a syringe since no one has feeding tubes. I got the tube down her about five inches so I think I got it to the crop. Hopefully, that is far enough. When I asked the feed store for vitamin b they told me all they had was a injection. Anyone ever given a chicken a shot before? If so where would I inject her?
I've checked for egg bound and I don't feel anything. As my wife picked her us so I could put the tube down her throat, she pooped all liquid. Hopefully we can get her re-hydrated.
Grower feed will be fine for them.Hi guys what age should i feed my girls grower feed? The older ones are almost 11 weeks old and the younger ones are almost 8 weeks old. Is that to young or would it be ok to feed them the grower feed?![]()
I just watched a youtube video of a guy giving a chicken a shot in that same location. Any idea how much to give? He did a 1cc shot, but I have no idea what the shot was.for B injections, intramuscular in the breast muscle.
So as far as meat goes, would you wait a certain period before processing or never use the meat? I know your not for treating strickly meat birds but i was just wondering if say a hen was treated with it then became an egg eater or something????And that is exactly why it works so well. The eggs hatch and the chemical is still there, waiting to kill the newly hatched. I only used it once, I did not need to re-apply.
No idea. The injectable B should come with dosage instructions. I am at work again, but I seem to remember 1/2 cc off the top of my head. That can vary by brand.I just watched a youtube video of a guy giving a chicken a shot in that same location. Any idea how much to give? He did a 1cc shot, but I have no idea what the shot was.

@desertmarcy is talking about the lice eggs, not the chicken eggs.So as far as meat goes, would you wait a certain period before processing or never use the meat?
