I figured that was what happened. My phone does the same thing, drives me crazy!Thank you auto correct for once again making me sound like a hillbilly. Lol! ! Honest I typed Hamburgs not Hamburgers. Hamburgers does not make sense, they would be chicken burgers.
We still have a puddle of water the duck's are hanging round in.. They had the time of their life the other day..
Your soil has very little to do with it, You could always try an above ground bed system too. I grow my vegetables in sand and sawdust and will never go back to planting in dirt; trying to guess if and what nutrients are there or needed. We've done the ostrich thing - what a neat experience (that I don't want to revisit). My DH has been reading up on aquaponics, thinking that since our soil is crap, maybe we can garden without any!
We tried raised beds with seriously amended soil with limited success, but ground critters were climbing the fence to get in! Right now, I have 5 "City Picker" wicking boxes going with beans, squash, and onions and they are doing a pretty good job. I think we'll experiment with aquaponics over the winter. Does anyone know of a workshop or class for beginners?Your soil has very little to do with it, You could always try an above ground bed system too.
