Arizona Chickens

In the incubator, I have about 14 barnyard mix eggs, including three olive-eggers and two brown leghorn-Xs. We are supposed to go on lockdown today. Wish me luck! I am hoping to have a better rate than with the CCL eggs.
Good luck

Annalog Big Welcome

Looks like I'll be down in the big valley for saturday to pick up Bonnie's two well traveled. Now I will have seven broodies. Yikes

Is anyone interred in my farmers INCUBATOR includes two rocking beds, and an electric candle light. I'll try to post pictures.

ALOHACHCIKENS. If you have any not up to par roosters NN/Milleflur and see this post please let me know. I could use one since I am breeding for NN/dark skin, with silver and mahogany
Darn, I just sold a TON of extra Aloha roosters, but the Mille NN's are super rare! But I have a baby NN rooster that looks his daddy was my big Speckled Sussex rooster. He is a huge baby, but only about 3 weeks. I was going to keep the hens in this batch, not the roosters, so if you want him please PM me.

yes good luck to you,;) what is lockdown supposed to be? I don't know if I ever did it I just left them in the incubator and then I realized on day 19 or so before they're supposed to hatch I needed to add water into the Brinsea mini advanced. :oops:

e="desertmarcy" url="/t/31227/arizona-chickens/52270#post_14486969"]I'm thinning out my hens and pullets and have a LOT of Barred Rocks, about 4 Rhode Island Reds, some Blue Copper Marans andsBlack Copper Marans. See this listing https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/942364/laying-hens-and-pullets-from-standard-bred-stock and PM me if interested.

I need to make room or I'll never get to hatching this season :jumpy

I'm not sure if I can get the trailer ready to get over there but I definitely want some. I will keep you posted desert Marcy. But this time I'll bring my younger to with me to enjoy the Fun!! :)

....I really enjoy my Black Copper Marans I bought from you @desertmarcy ,one of them lays a
Very large egg and the other one is is pretty dark. It's easier for me buying a pullet that's already laying. They sure enjoy being spoiled with snacks I'll tell you. What's funny is they're more affectionate with me than some of my own, but Easter Eggers are usually never very friendly I don't think anyway. My Easter Eggers are kinda skittish

Sill, yes, those cups. It is leaking from the yellow trigger thing. I'll try scrubbing again, and a vinegar soak. Because other than the leak, I really do love the cups.

The quail use them just fine too, eh? I think I asked you that months ago. I still haven't quite set up for quail, but they are in my future soon. Soonish? Within the next 12 months, I think.

I have three internal pips. I heard peeping in the two brown leghorn-Xs and one OE I got from @AZChiknGoddess

Are these the ones you are using? I have quite a few of them, I think around 16. I've had two of them leak. One got bumped hard enough that it rotated in the pvc and it was leaking from the insertion site. Removed it and added more teflon tape to the threads and it's worked fine since. Another one got clogged with sand where the yellow trigger thing is, removed it, took it apart and soaked in vinegar for an hour. After scrubbing it and reassembly it's worked fine. I'll probably need to soak them all in vinegar before summer since they are getting a bit of hard water deposits on them. Over all I'm real happy with these, the quail and chickens seem to like them better than nipples. Any time I've offered both they end up using the cups and leaving the nipples alone. That's a big chicken! Me too, I needed them for Christmas baking and the girls just aren't producing right now. However my olive egger gave her first egg in a couple of m onths! It was nice finding her pretty egg in the nest boxes today. :eek: Good thing I didn't know this when I was down there. I know I would have come home with some! Good luck!:fl
Sill where did you get your cups? I am planning a water system and need cups.

Quote:&nbsp I know, right? I'm in between girls who are molting during winter (which means no eggs) and girls who are only 17 weeks old (which means no eggs). Lol! I broke down and bought some from a local seller. I can at least feel good about supporting the farmers in my area... ;
