Arizona Chickens

Anyone have a big pile of cool looking chicken feed sacks? I met a gal via FB who makes cool tote bags. She uses old feed bags. Horse feed, chicken feed, pig food, even dog and cat food in the heavy-duty (20+ pound) plastic bags can work. Please save your old feed bags for her. Here's her FB page:

Those are so cool! I never throw out my old feed sacks so I got quite a pile to send her.

Sill, yes, those cups. It is leaking from the yellow trigger thing. I'll try scrubbing again, and a vinegar soak. Because other than the leak, I really do love the cups.

The quail use them just fine too, eh? I think I asked you that months ago. I still haven't quite set up for quail, but they are in my future soon. Soonish? Within the next 12 months, I think.
Check to see if they got something shoved into the base of the yellow trigger. That can force it open a bit so it drips.

Yes the quail use them, They learn to use them faster than chickens, I think they are more curious and very busy so it comes natural to them to try something new. Chickens can be afraid of the cups at first. Just let me know when you are ready for quail, I can fix you up!

Sill where did you get your cups? I am planning a water system and need cups.
I ordered them off Ebay. We got the ones without pvc Ts or other fittings since it was cheaper and we weren't sure how we were going to configure the systems. That way it was more versatile we didn't have to worry about wasting the fittings if we didn't use them.

I have seven live chicks! 2 olive eggers, 5 barnyard mixes, 2 of which are Brown leghorn-ameracauna crosses. My first decently successful hatch. I have one OE that has pipped for at least 12 hours. I peeled back a little shell and there is still blood, so I'll wait till morning before I do anything more. I helped one other olive egger out, but it was ready. I have three more Barnyard mixes pipped, and one without action, but I think I heard it chirping earlier.
