Dare I ask, what the cost for a trio is?I am selling trios of Barred Rocks, 2 pullets 1 cockerel. The pullets are already laying. mostly March 2015 hatch. Won't have any more until way later in the year but I do take orders for straight run chicks.

yup looks like a pretty rooster but the only place where an abundance of males is welcome is in the military ! ha![]()
So update on the hen with the crop issue. I have been trying to clear it by vomiting her and adding coconut oil to the crop and massaging the contents to loosen them up. I decided after feeling it for a couple days that she had a blockage as well and needed it removed. I gathered the materials needed to do surgery including a sterile scalpel, sutures, vet glue, and cleaning agents and did the surgery. I felt so bad for her having to do it, but knew it was the best option. She stayed very calm through the whole thing and I got a huge clump of grass out that was blocking it and I feel never would have passed. After closing everything up, I had my boyfriend who was holding her set her up right and she was instantly more perky. Even tried to eat some of the scratch that had fallen on the towel. I wrapped the crop with the self sticking wrap to help support it and keep it from being picked at. After exploring for a little bit inside the house and cuddling next to me she settled down for some sleep. I know it's not what everyone would have chosen, but I felt as if it was her best chance. I pray everything heals up well and she is as good as she looked.

This is my little crossbreed that I hatched out about 4 months ago (dad was a blue copper Marans and mom was a RIR) anyways, I think that it may be a rooster. What do y'all think?

I wouldn't complain if there were an abundance of males in my town (us single ladies need options...)
