Arizona Chickens

This is my little crossbreed that I hatched out about 4 months ago (dad was a blue copper Marans and mom was a RIR) anyways, I think that it may be a rooster. What do y'all think?

I need to redact that last statement, that tail feather does look like a rooster

What a beautiful night! The sunset was a Painted Desert view & the moon was completely amazing. Here is a moon from a few months ago. I had a fire going out back the chickens were running around. Our dog finally heard it in the last hen that was working on getting the last bug.

Is there anyone on this board that is planning on doing a chick order? We just want a few rarer chicks to raise, but I don't want to do a 15-25 min order.

Any AZ chicken people out there? I am looking for some advice on raising chicks in the desert. I'm in Mesa. Does it get too hot out here? I have four 20 day old chicks, 3 Buff Orps and 1 leghorn. Do we need to do anything special here
do you still have your chickens?

Thank you, I think it is more than reasonable but people seem to expect to pay $20 or less for a laying hen these days even though feed costs more

DesertMarcy, I was just curious about the price, I really want to come get some of your chicks.
I enjoy watching them grow up,
I just have to get my setup ready,
I don't want the big girls picking on the babies...
and I have to find a way to keep my current girls out of the garden.

Plus my husband would be very unhappy if I knowingly brought a rooster home

@nicollee my comment was not directed towards you. I have just noticed this in general. People for the most part are not willing to pay what it costs to raise birds. I sell chicks straight run, not sexed, so you would be getting some males in my chicks.
