Yeah, that's what I need, some NN running around.

Give you my 3 two-week olds for $10....Will be in Apache junction on Sat. You know you want 'em

The extra cockerels make excellent stir fry when culled very young. Super tender meat. Just sayin....

Might need to know how to cull soon; got at least 3 extra cockerels and an egg eater that I may not have broken from the habit. *sigh* Don't want to cull her; she just started eating out of my hand

but on the other hand, i don't want her teaching my 4 month old white leghorn that egg eating is ok. Then I'd lose two instead of one. Anyone have advice? Tried loaded eggs with mustard and hot sauce and then separated her from the flock. No egg yesterday, and I know she should be laying. waiting a few more days to see if I get any eggs from her, but after that I may need to find someone to instruct me in processing a chicken.

Can a 3 month old rooster really be fertile? My Barred Rock roo has been crowing for a month...getting frisky for the last few weeks and now...6 days shy of 3 months, he's breeding my older hens. And he did a good job(no feather pulling, got the job done and got off). But I didn't think that possible under 4-5 months...

There are a few threads about it if you type processing a chicken in the search bar, here is one:

Check the eggs; I had a 3 month old cockerel fertilize the egg of my barred rock pullet; tragically, it was her last egg I noticed this on (the whole flock got decimated by predators and that egg was all that was left)

So this has been a great week! My Easter Egger laid her first egg! (HA! Take that dad! MY bird laid an egg first!)

hate to say it, but if he is attacking people others may not want him.

But others may want him for breeding.and he has not attcked me again .

@generaldsherman makes a very good point. Unfortunately temperament can be passed on to offspring, so if he isn't human friendly, even if he's just starting down that path, you may find it very difficult to re-home him. That said, I wish you the best of luck. I understand all too well how hard it is to part with a beautiful rooster.
