Arizona Chickens

Even though eggs are cheap again, people know you get what you pay for. When Safeway eggs are on sale for .99/doz, the farmer's market here is still selling out at $5.00/doz. That has to really get to the egg production companies. There are a lot of people on here who are trying their own home-grown chicken meat, too. Good, I say! People will only eat sub-standard food for so long.

Unfortunately, far too many people will go on eating that substandard food all the way to their graves. Heck, a good friend of ours literally drinks 4-6 two liter bottles of diet soda per day even though it gives him hand shakes so bad he has a hard time doing his job. (He also happens to be the Asst. Mgr at the company my husband and I own.) He knows the science but doesn't care; he's had multiple doctors tell him he needs to stop drinking the stuff but instead of heading their advice he just stopped going to the doctor; his own father, on the same diet, died of a massive heart attack at the ripe old age of 65. None of that matters. He, like many others, like cheap food that gives them their quick fix. Even smart people can be really, really stupid.

I GET TO WORK FROM HOME :celebrate:wee:yesss::woot

This will give 2 to 3 more hours in my day and I can be home when it's hot to turn on misters or fill wading pools. So freakin excited! My company is moving our office and my commute would more than double.
THANK YOU UNIVERSE!
I'm slightly confused???????? Is this somehow related to chicken math calculations.....:jumpy

@BlueBaby here's the chicks this morning. Kazoo is getting some dark patches and the dark blue girl has some nice lacing. The pic doesn't do her justice.

It is an addiction. And, most people have to go out of their way and pay more for better food, not part of our culture.

Here is a link to a story about why Sanderson Farms is doing so much advertising

Sounds like a brand to avoid, they are defending themselves against the "no antibiotics" in chickens movement.

Parront, any signs of a squatch up in your neck of the woods? That would be perfect habitat for them.

Dinosaurs are my Number 1 passion followed by Big Foot. You would think with all the technology that we have, that there would be some real solid evidence of their existence and issues like where do they bury their own dead, no scat piles found etc. I would love to see one and how they react to human contact. --BB
