I think one of the best things about chickens is the nostalgic feeling they invoke! And eggs are nice, too

So far, I love that our chicks get riled up and flap their little wings while running around

Hi all. Been a month or two since I’ve posted. Went on vacation over spring break and when we got back, our chickens looked like they had much more red in there waffles and combs.

The Rhode Island reds about doubled their reddness and size of their waffles.

My daughter is also able to get a few of the chickens to squat. Hoping that we get our first egg soon!

2. What's one of your favorite things your pet chicken does with you, etc.?

My Hens are the most amuzing animals.... from friendly to running away, they provide incredible entertainment, and EGGS.
My friendliest hen runs up and loves to be held and cuddled. She waits, (and poops, ICK) outside the door, but still brings a smile to my face when I see her.

1. Eggs and eventually meat, and having chickens is like having an outdoor aquarium. Always something going on no matter where you look.

2. My girls like to help with the compost heap. That's about the only thing we do together.
