Anybody else have goofy roosters like mine? Both Light Brahma and Jersey Giant cockerels midday napping with heads down and butts way up in the air... Maybe their rear ends are hot and need the airflow? It is kind of a muggy day today....

Misters are on, watermelon and small ice bottles, beaks are open.... sigh... heat here we come!
This time is hardest as it gets hot bc 90 degrees is hot to them when it's new, 90 degrees in October is cooler to them bc it was 120

Hi everyone, we are outside of Tucson and looking to build our first run and coop. How have you guys done your coops and runs that are effective out here? I was planning on building a run and then a coop inside of it.

Okay, I was at Tractor Supply yesterday and I was fairly GIVEN these young bantam chicks. I was indeed smitten with the light gray(grey?) colored two but you know its a 4 chick limit. SO I couldn't turn down GIVEN! I have looked and looked for what the light colored ones might be - I don't know the others either but here's some pics if anyone can help. Here's all four of them - TSC said they were 4+ weeks old. I'm saying closer to 3 weeks old and kinda large compared to the other bantams in the tub. The dark one in the back is going to be trouble! No feathered feet nor crests that I can see. You can see to two light gray, almost white ones here.

Nope don't know why it decided to show up like this but - well you know - a machine with a brain bigger than my own!! Can anyone help identify those light colored chickies?
UPDATE - I edited one out so now you only have one giant pic and the two smaller attached - crazy!

I don't do the bantums, but the light ones that you showed do have the darker featherless legs like my Austalorps do, and they have about the coloring of what will be a splash.
