Arizona Chickens

@BlueBaby im good. Sorry! Life has been busy over here. Still waiting on the two girls I got from you to start laying eggs :old. Miss Foofy is still with her flock although she has migrated them into the big coop:celebrate.

Those 2 pullets should start anytime now. The 2 that I still have here that are the sister's recently started laying the green egg's, but they aren't the light green eggs. They look darker like maybe more toward's an olive green.

Oh how pretty. I can not wait! Oh and my girls are doing some serious molting now!! Looks like something has killed one of my hens:lau

@KDOGG331 It is a mix of a Pug and a Chihuahua - this one is considered the ugly side of the mix. She has a short nose, big Chi ears, semi bulging eyes, curly tail and a square body with skinny Chi legs. The best part is she is brindle colored. She is the sweetest of the sweet and about 6 years old. View attachment 1593008

Awww

More sad news. The dogs who have never given the chickens a second glance killed my two splash babies. I’m beside myself. The boy Hootie we named him died in my hands and the girl Ruby we found in the yard. Hubby was ready to take them to the desert and shot them but I calmed him down. It’s just so unexpected.

Sorry that you lost the 2 babies! :hugs Now you know to never trust the dog's around them again. Better let me help you to hatch out some more chick's.

Soooooo sad to hear this. :hugs
Shooting the dogs would not accomplish anything. :idunno It is in the dogs nature. (not all, but those). The real villain here is the irresponsible dog owners. They should be held accountable for your loss.
If I'm not mistaken, you are looking to relocate to a different area anyways. Hopefully you will have better neighbors there.
