Arizona Chickens

Um, the 19th is when they're due. Kids were here and bumping the the carton etc. They wanted to help and see and ooo Grammy can I do that?! while I was candling and setting eggs. I dunno, I still feel like an idiot over the air cells. Things seem to be going well though, they were all still alive last night.

I hope that all of that bumping doesn't mess up your hatch.

Wind is not much better today!! The girls are hunkered down and give me the turn it off stink eye! @City farm I love watching the mantis! @igorsMistress I love that you have the majick to make your broom stand. Blessed Be!
I'm on my 4th broody!!

I was thinking about it as I fell asleep last night and dreamed about Fantasia when Mickey gets in trouble for using magic to clean house

Yes, but at least those gusting wind's weren't quite as bad. I spent 4 hour's out there in the coop today cleaning, and I finally got some help to attach that wire to the dog crate. The man volunteered to help me out there with it in exchange for one of the hen's. One of his died today on his watch while his wife is still not yet back from her vacation, so he needed another hen to replace it before his wife return's.

There are many time's where those job's that take more time to do, that I wished that I could just twitch my nose to get them done like in Bewitched.

Oh yes! Me too. The bane of my existence is the floor. But, my daughter and the boys aren't here all the time now so things should improve!

Still wind today too!! Not quite as bad but its still there. AND my bones are crying. Oh the joys of getting old! So off to walk off some of the stiffness again. Only way to keep from totally locking up. Just rain or whatever weather change is happening and get it over with. The girls are loving it..........again a 21 egg day from 30 girls. Crazy.

:) Hi, been out in the coop trying to clean it out, still think that the sand box idea I found from snooping around the internet. Was the best idea ever , have 6 nest boxes, 2 were occupied and then I had 2 girls trying to force their way in, don't know what is up with that:idunno. I have one little girl who runs all over the run, tries breaking in the old coop, tries to break in the TSC coop and pretty much screams, I've checked her out and can not see anything visibly wrong with her. She was making me feel so sad for her, I almost opened up the old coop. She doesn't have any issue getting up to the nest boxes in the new coop. After she lays then she's quiet.. Thankfully she's a every other day layer. I found out that one of the white girls I hatched is laying, she did manage to push one of the sex links over so she could get in and then one of the red ones I hatched is laying, she was pacing up and down in front of the two occupied boxes. The hatch I have now is on day 14 today, the girls I picked up from TSC are doing fine, going to have to get out there and work on the old coop as that is going to have to be put into service as a brooder.
