I'm gonna guess you're referring to this that's going around on facebook. Some people have already said they've called the state and been told it's not true. I checked the USDA website because once something is confirmed it's posted immediately and didn't see anything. Sure would like to know where this supposed rumor started from and how...

Thank you. Can you tell us where we can check on the USDA site? Like what section? I've had a look but bot able to find anything even about California.

I just went to the usda.gov site, clicked on USDA Newsroom, then put Newcastle in the search bar. There is nothing put out that's new on Newcastle since it was confirmed in Coconino county three weeks ago. If it was confirmed anywhere else they would have posted it and it would show up there.

Thank you ladies.. I appreciate it very much, I've hatched chicks recently for replacements for a lady, I do not want to go giving her chicks that might not be well and infect her other hens. Bird Haven has retracted their post.. it's scary when you don't know what to believe and what not to believe, even a post made by Orange County CA was incorrect and they yanked that one.
