The blue hatching eggs for what?
Or I guess I mean from what? Are you wanting blue hatching eggs from NN's that lay blue, or will any blue egg layers do? I can mail you some eggs from my Ameraucana, but the offspring will only carry one copy of the blue egg gene as she's under a Bresse cross rooster. I've offered eggs from her before though, and you didn't want them.

Ok, I'd try some from her. She's got to be laying bigger egg's than the CCLB's do. I like the color's of egg's that I'm getting though, I just don't want all of my blue egg pullet's that I keep to all have the same mother and father?

Her eggs are a bit smaller than my NN's but not by much. I can see what I have and send them to you on Monday if you'd like.

Well, big bummer, the two chicks I snuck back under their broody momma last night, I found just a few minutes ago with their heads missing. :barnie:he:hit
So I guess the rest that are hatching in the incubator are NOT going back under her... dammit.

Sorry that happened to you, but at least you now know that she can't be trusted with chick's, right?

Ok, and then let me know how much you want for what you have. If you want to, you can add a few of the other NN egg's to them to make an even dozen, maybe?
That's not a problem. A dozen eggs would probably be around $25. We can do it like last time, I know you're good for it.
This is her egg compared to a couple average NN eggs.

So, three more in the incubator and three more eggs that haven't pipped yet. Now these kids don't have a broody momma and it's all my fault. I've certainly learned my lesson. Now I've got to decide if I'm gonna raise them in the brooder or just rehome them right away. I don't want to rehome them.. they are big chicks! Almost too big for their shells! Lots of potential there...

I'll tell ya, though, if I'm gonna keep breeding these big chicks, I'm only going to incubate the biggest eggs in the future. I don't want hatching problems because they don't have room to move.
