Arizona Chickens

@igorsMistress , those things are so ugly they are cute.. I'm sorry I know it's terrible of me but they look like they have mange..:lau:gig:lau

The first time I saw one I was like what in the world is that?! It was was black and I thought someone had crossed a vulture with a chicken. I fell in love though.

I cleaned out the coop today and refilled the food and water containers. I miss doing my chicken chores! Blue the Delaware was really clingy and wanted to hog all of the attention :p She’s a funny one. They got some strawberries as a snack. We are going to have to set up the misters soon. I can’t believe how mild the heat has been so far...it was actually quite nice out today and looks like a storm may roll through tonight.

I cleaned out the water container's here today too. Mine got watermelon for a treat this afternoon, and they sure love it. My broody is still being broody, but she look's like she's doing okay.

It has been crazy windy here so water pans in the morning. Mine got cucumbers. @igorsMistress OMF if I were a cartoonist I'd be rich - at least in my mind - I had the funniest set of cartoons for the FEDS and State dudes! I love those babies. One of my NN roos was slow to feather - golden he was, gorgeous - lives with his own harem at a farm in Florence.

Im glad you’re broody girl is doing well. As much as I miss Biddy, I am slightly relieved that she doesn’t have to sit through another hot summer. She was broody on and off from April through September last year, and she was impossible to break. I worried how she would fare this year.

I would have liked to be able to breed one like your Biddy to my naked neck Charley, for even the feathering pattern alone. I think that it would have been interesting. My broody is insistent, but I have her in a well ventilated area, plus she's a naked neck.
