Arizona Chickens

Good Morning, I almost had a bad start to my day, Houdini lived up to his name once again, I went in the guestroom aka brooder room to see what they were fussing about, here stands Houdini on the outside of the tote, thankfully he knew where the rest of his hatch mates were so he was sticking close to the tote, went to pick him up and he ran, but it was around the tote, not under the bed, could just picture having to wake up Glenn and to play a game of chase the chicken. :lau Houdini is the yellow one, he's also the same one that climbed out of the incubator bottom while I was trying to get everyone transferred to the brooder tote.

You need to get Glenn one of those video camera's so that he can film you when you play chase Houdini. :gig

And, that would probably be the end of you being able to brood the chick's in the house.
getting warm enough that as soon as I have them eating and drinking, they really could go out, at least go out a lot sooner than what they have been, have the grow out ready, just got to decide if I want pine shavings or puppy pads like they use right now. They are not completely feathered in, but they are close.

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve last logged in but I was wondering if anyone else is seeing all the rain that’s been happening these past few days, at around four or five in the afternoon we even had hail which I haven’t seen in years  and with all of the coronavirus panic this is all starting to seem so unreal:p we’ve made sure to stay stocked with water and hopefully with the chickens we’re sure to have eggs for days:lau any special precautions you guys are taking? Xx

I'm using canned or frozen veg thereby reducing trips to the store. Otherwise, nothing. We tend to do outdoor activities and avoid crowds anyway so this isn't particularly difficult for us. I am annoyed that toilet paper is hard to find though...that is the most assinine thing I've heard when it comes to shortages.

looks like the rain/hail/snow finally stopped here, I was getting a little stir crazy.
Only my mom works with people, (manager for a restaurant)so most concern is for her, my dad and I work online or by our selves driving around.
I'm not concerned for me, but for all my older friends and relatives, it hits them harder with the possibility of death.
we literally threw out all our y2k food a month ago. woops. most of it wasn't good any more. we're all set as best we can be with out hoarding like everyone is doing.
on of my clients act commanded me to not leave the house for church, shopping or anything for the next 3 months! he doesnt want me to catch it and give it to him. He's 85, so understand why his concern.
I watch his cats when he's not home, I recommended for his sake that he shouldn't leave his house unless he has to.
