There's a covered area in front of the house with good shade and partial sun where that little coop would fit nicely, and it would be on a concrete slab, so predators could not burrow underneath. The leghorns are behind the house, so the wind would not travel from one group to the other.

I'm looking at dog runs for quarantine. I already have an extra large plastic dog crate, but the door is broken on it. Once the chicken palace is up, I could attach the dog run for a chicken run, so it would be used, and I was going to need a run anyway.

I like to use Costco Tuscan herb blend and a can of tomatoes, too. You can put in some potatoes, onions and celery to taste, a whole different dinner, same kind of bird.

I just thought of something. I have a small dog house here that is made to look like a little log cabin. I bought it for my Boston Terrier, but he died years ago and my two collies are much too large to fit into it. It would be a great little chicken hideout inside of a dog run.

I have eaten bad girls, egg eaters, mean girls, picked on girls, Cornish-X girls. They eat reallllly good. Better than cockerels, in my opinion . The egg eaters taste the best!

I’ve heard from relatives that roosters don’t taste good unless they’ve been castrated but I have no clue if it’s true, it’s so interesting learning about your experiences! I’ve only ever eaten store-bought chicken because I’m too sensitive about eating a hen I know
