Arizona Chickens

Glad to hear you're doing OK, BlueBaby! I was concerned when you didn't post for a few days. But you're right, life does get busy sometimes.

Needing two coops--you make it sound like I'll end up with more chickens! *cough* not me. Just Leghorns--they only count as half chickens because they're not all that big. Or maybe 1/3 chickens. Yeah. So Leghorns don't count as real chickens, and I can get as many as I'd like.

The eggs are not doing anything yet. Tomorrow's Day 21.
I used to have a runt chicken and I made up a jingle for her ....
I'm a real chicken, (opposing chicken chior sings)- CHICKENETTE, CHICKENETTE,
(repeat, repeat, & repeat with some clapping, boking for emphasis)
Think of muppet chickens singing...

You must have been a cheerleader in HS?

I was just getting some thing's packed up for someone who's stopping by tomorrow to pick them up. All done with that now.

My next-door neighbor is home from work on the weekend's so I won't have to go over there to do that, but I did notice one of his hen's is hopping around on one foot, so might have to help him take a look at that.

No cheerleader here! Music & sports and helping mom collect feral kittens really too wild for the house, and the occasional reptile, and a fast turtle, Muddie Baby, who ran away...

Hope the heat doesn't get too hot too fast ... good luck with that neighbor hen, you have a lucky neighbor with you taking care of them.

Every time that I go into the room where I keep the incubator and brooder at, those 2 little NN chick's come running up to the door of the brooder to see me already. I'm so happy that the last chick hatched to keep the other one company.
