Arizona Chickens

My chickens resumed laying several weeks ago. Big Ben got the tips of some of his comb blackened when to got really cold at the beginning of the month. Today I may have found a home for Gabriel. He beats up on the girls if they leave the coop for the run, and Rolex is better looking than he is, so he needs to move on.

It's been crazy here--so far this month, I got sick, the electrician had to come twice, then a heater repairman, then the hot water heater spewed hot water all over the lower floor and exterior wall of the house, a maintenance man had to fix the wall, a gravel truck cut me off and now there's chips all over the windshield of my van, and the fridge died. Hoping February is better. *whew!*

And, in case anybody wants to see the bullseye of all bullseyes on an egg, here it is:

But there was no bullseye inside. Gabriel hasn't been mating the girls, just beating on them. I did see Rolex mating the other day though. I think I'm keeping the right cockerel.
