I've been outside cleaning the run and starting to get the growout pen ready so I can move these 6 chick's out of the brooder. They are starting to hop and jump around too much.

What age are your 6 now?
How long do you think my current brooder will fit these 2 chicks? (Trying to figure out what I might need to do before they're big enough to put in a growout pen.)

One month old. They Hatched on Feb. 24th. Mine are growing fast. I've been giving them wet chick feed, and they eat it like little piggies. Maybe that helps them to feather out faster?

I think that the wind chill factor is making it to cold to move this wild bunch out there today. I'll wait and see how things are out there tomorrow.

Don't blame you. This wind is crazy. We've been well below average temperatures for weeks now for this time of year.

I hope not...I normally love the winter but gotta say I'm so ready for it to be over this year.
