It seems to be pretty nice out there today with just a gentle breeze. Just the way that I like it.

It certainly is. Getting ready to set out a plastic Owl that arrived yesterday. Hoping it will help deter hawks when I let the chickens out to roam.It seems to be pretty nice out there today with just a gentle breeze. Just the way that I like it.
I've heard that with those plastic owls that you need to move them around and not leave them in the same spot all of the time or the hawks will get used to knowing where it is at.It certainly is. Beautiful boy!
Hello, and welcome to our AZ. state thread! Are you trying to add more chickens to your neighbors flock, or do you want to get some too?Beautiful boy!
They don't want any more. I'd love to have a pet chicken but I have 3 dogs that wouldn't be very happy with me getting a chicken. I really love and enjoy my next-door neighbor's chickens and rooster. I get to enjoy them without doing all the work. I have fibromyalgia and it would be too much for me. They're so fun to have as neighbors!! I'll have to get a picture of them soon and post it.Hello, and welcome to our AZ. state thread! Are you trying to add more chickens to your neighbors flock, or do you want to get some too?
That would be nice, and it's so good of you to help your neighbors with the flock that they have. I noticed in the newbies thread that you mentioned the 2 red hens that they have that don't have neck feathers. Could they be of the Naked Neck Turken breed? They don't want any more. Now that's a good question. I'm not sure because I'm not familiar enough with all the different breeds. I had no idea that there's a breed that has naked necks. LOL! One of them has feathers that have grown back in at the base of her neck. I'll have to look up on the internet about the Naked Neck Turken breed.
