I never knew you could have a heat lamp that doesn't do light!

They had these for quite some time. Available in 100 watt, and 150 watt size.

Today's chick pic from me. They are more used to being in the grow-out pen now and are spreading out in there more now. 2 of pullets are down at the other end by the water, so only these 4 made it into the picture.

I am going to have to get some of these! Luckily they aren't a horrific price! I'm always so wary about prices now a days cause I have to make sure i have enough money for food! Feeding eigh people and four of them being teens is tough!

I have some I got from walmart, they also come in 50 watt but I only used the 100 watt. I have 2, 75 watt bulbs also, so the 100 was to supplement overnight when I had them brooding in the laundry room last spring.

Amazing ! I'll have to see if my walmart has them. Mine is a pain in the buns and half the time they SAY they have things but don't. Like they said they had chicken food but had cleared out ALL of their chicken items. The only thing they had up and out was some herbs that you stick in the nesting boxes. I tried them with my babies and the girls would NOT go in the coop for the life of me! They slept in their run that came with the prefab coop.
